KIVA CEREMONY
The KIVA is a 4-day sacred ceremony that unites all the spiritual manifestations of the world in one place. For more than thirty years, we have celebrated the beginning of a new era based on an ancient culture.
Connected to a central fire that flames with the force of unity, the Kiva captures prayers, chants and thoughts of all humanity, amplifying frequencies for a common purpose and manifesting incredible results in harmony with the spiritual world.
The Kiva is a ceremonial structure that dates back to the very ancient times from the Anazasi people, located in the area of today’s New Mexico. The structure basically consists of a circumference made below ground level with a ceremonial center. Tigre Perez had a vision in which a brunette woman was crying in the center of a circle under the earth. The woman stopped crying as different beings appeared with ancient clothing, songs, and languages from the earth. That brown-skinned woman was the Mother Earth, and the structure in which she was inside it was a Kiva. Because of this vision, the elders gave Tigre Perez the responsibility of performing the Kiva again as a ceremony to summon different indigenous representatives to pray for Mother Earth and her healing. The Kiva that we have today at the Roots of the Earth is a ceremonial structure with four altars located in the four directions, an altar in the center with the sacred fire, and drawn in a circumference built below ground level, with an entrance protected by a door with 5 feathers, each one representing each of the continents of our Mother Earth.
